The above picture is dispersed type of settlement which is found is in Paro. It is also known as a scattered settlement and is one of the main types of settlement patterns found in Punakha as well.  Due to having mountainous ranges and deep valleys all over the country, population settlement patterns in Bhutan are very scattered. 

I can use this pictures to teach students about types of settlement found in Bhutan in general.
